The VoCacheDir Utility
The VO_xxx_CACHE_DIR environment is best set in the profile of the running jobs. By default, most patch systems (and certainly Torque and OpenPBS) will read the files in /etc/profile and their dependents. The vocachedir-init utility is a script that will live in /etc/profile.d/AAvocachedir.{sh,csh} and setup the environment for the user if one of a range of configurable 'base' directories for the VO cache directory exists.
