Grid Activities during Open Dag 2013

During a brainstorm meeting/discussion the following points have been identified to be interesting for a broader public.

Demo Material

• Plasmascreen / MacMini for RTM
  • Mac Mini is in Dennis's office
  • Plasmacreen is reserved (Elli)
• Wireless devices / traceablity of our own divice
  • Table + PC/big screen (Tristan has these devices)
• Man In the Middle (Wilco)
  • 3 tables, 3 laptops
• Programming challenge for kids with scratch
  • 3 laptops
• Posters
• Tristan: to check the Give aways / Prices, the typical useless stuff kids love, like 'Raketen'

People doing the work / Agenda

We need people throughout the whole day, thus some planining who is available when is needed.

Set-up 10:00 - 12:00 / Clean-up 16:00 - 18:00

Task: Sven: collect names/volunteers that will be available for set-up/clean-up

The following demos will be continuously be available.

Computer Room Tour

Guided Tours : As usual there will be a couple of guided tours through our coomputing room.

Man in the Middle

Wilco: could you please fill in some details below?

Wilco will not be available on 5th Oct, he tries to set up the demo until 30th Sept, based on the existing material from Willem. Dennis to dig the archives.

Wireless / Mobile device tracing

Tristan/Bart: Bart will not be around during open dag, therefore some more detailed planning/testing might be needed well before d-day.

UPDATE: some unforeseen additional workload for CHEP got in our way, nevertheless we want to present this. Main presenter changed form Tristan to Davidg

Here we have to respond to Wim's concerns, in particular estimated effort/possible security issues/possible impact on 'production wireless'.
