Planning

Link to project plan: [project plan]

Rough timeline:

  • R&D/prototyping 2014-2015
  • Production 2016-2017
  • Installation 2018

OPP reports:

People

  • Willem Kuilman
  • Berend Munneke
  • Johan Kos
  • Martin Doets
  • Rob Walet
  • Tjeerd Ketel
  • Wouter Hulsbergen

Drawings

The CATIA model and stp files for the RF box can be found on Martin's webpage:

Requirements

File:Requirements.pdf is the information given to external partners.

Information on materials

Machining

  • File:Mul Milling vs Turning.pdf is an old presentation by Frans Mul. The interesting conclusion is that 'turning' leads to a leaking foil, while 'milling' does not.

Fixing leaks

NEG coating

Vacuum measurements

  • Dye penetrant inspection
 * Information provided by Gonzalo ARNAU IZQUIERDO (materials engineer at EN/MME,CERN)

 * Measurements were done by EN-MME Alexandre Gerardin:

 * CERN can do this for the 1m long box
