What's LaTeX?

LaTeX is a mark-up and typesetting language that helps you to create documents where you only have to care about the structure and the content: the layout will be automatically taken care of.

How to use LaTeX?

You need a (preferrably recent) LaTeX installation (MikTeX for Windows, texlive [previously tetex] for Linux) and an advanced text editor (you may be hardcore, but inefficient without syntax highlighting...).
