Martin Fransen (May 21 2012): 90Sr source with momentum selection between 1.8 en 2.2 MeV to be able to measure without low momentum particles.

The photo with GridPix readout on the screen shows tracks in CO2/DME 50/50 with similar ionisation density.

The pictures show a plixiglass plate with a 'trace' of a quarter circle (radius 2 cm) mounted on a piece of iron. On top one places a permanent magnet to provide a 0.3T field in the 'trace'. Putting a 90Sr source at the entrance of this instrument will select about 2 MeV electrons under a 90 degree angle.
