End of Vidyo service per February 1, 2021


CERN will move in December 2020 to Zoom for its video conferences. CERN will stop providing the Vidyo service per February 1, 2021.

As a result, Nikhef will also terminate the dial-in number per February 1, 2021.

Polycom systems

The Polycom systems in rooms H128, H331 and H328 as well as the conference room in the DETR&D hallway can connect to any "H.323" videoconference service. Some Zoom meetings also provide H.323 dialin (e.g. the ones at CERN and at GEANT).

  • lookup the internet address of the H.323 gateway in the invitation
  • enter the address the dialing screen (if needed, use the "#" sign on a Polycom remote to enter numbers and dots, "*" is a dot)
  • press the call button
  • put in the conference number (again if needed press "#" on polycom remotes)
