Location of ATLAS top group physics samples

The different samples

A short description of the sample necessary for the Rome tt analysis:

T1: TTbar events using MCatNLO. Fully hadronic events were rejected.

T2: TTbar events using MCatNLO. Fully hadronic events were rejected and at least 1 top has 500 GeV

A7: W+4jet events using AlpGen.

Note 1: Given the limited manpower and diskspace we only collected a subset of all file formats (no 'simul' and ESD files for example).

Note 2: In producing the TopNtuples for the A7 sample some AODs were discarded since they gave problems. The TopNtuples have a bit less events than the AODs.


A short description of the sample generated using TopReX. All samples were reconstructed with Full Simulation (GEANT4) unless specified.

How to get the Ntuples to your institute:

- To copy all TopNtuples from NIKHEF to your institute just get the following small python script called Get_TopNtuples_From_NIKHEF.py and run it: ./Get_TopNtuples_From_NIKHEF.py. Note that for the AOD's you will have to do a bit more sophisticated and get a list of ascii files first (more later).

- Another script you can use as example on how to get the files to your institute is DataFetch.py which was constructed by Akira Shibata.


Athena release 11:

The ESD/AODs created using Athena release 11 were made by Nabil Ghodbane and can the corresponding files can be found on his CASTOR directory:
